Jimmy Carter, a southerner and a former President, shared an observation last night that reverberates through the media, parties and around the watercoolers today. He observed some of the behaviors at these public outings and town halls, as well as the infamous and inappropriate "You Lie" from Wilson --a congressman who knew better, and even his wife wanted to know "What nut yelled 'You Lie' in the middle of the President's speech?" -- were based in racism toward the President. And he's right. But what his comment has become, is the worst nightmare for the Republican party. They've spent last night and today attempting to neutralize the comment. "Nothing to see here." Why? Not because it's not true, but because it is a direct hit to their already shaky strategy.

The Republicans used Church and family as a marketing ploy to get people to vote for Bush -- and yes it worked, even though it wasn't an actual truth.(Democrats and Independents are just as religious, have as many family values.) People decided that if you believed in God and had family values, then you had to vote Republican. Fast forward to the present. They did not anticipate intelligence to factor into the political equation. What to do? People don't like chaos. They don't like arguments. They want peace and quiet. So why not keep contention and strife on the front burner? Why not use the media to continually pound on the psyche of the average American, who already has enough stress just trying to survive? Make the loyalty and patience with the Obama administration so untenable, so exhausting that people are willing to finally yell "Uncle"... willing to let things go back to the way it was because change is just too hard. If you think that this is too far out, consider biblical history. The Israelites were perishing in slavery, yet were willing to go right back into it because the road of unknowns, the road to change, was too daunting, too hard. So using the strategy of milking the element of racism, while injecting the nuances of the stereotypical scary black man into every aspect of their face time in front of the media and masses has created a certain amount of hysteria and has begun to resonate as doubts in those who don't understand this incivility and are wondering if these bullies in the schoolyard might be right. Now a respected, southern white man comes along and calls it what it is. An unexpected blow. You can't continue to market this behavior without people being reminded of what President Carter has said: some of this is based on racism. What to do?

It is evident in this video, that many, or at least some, do not really know what it is they're angry about.
Definitions: Fascism: --a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascist  1) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. Virtually impossible to be one while trying to get two different parties to behave like adults and work as a team. Socialism: 1) any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods .2a ): a system of society or group living in which there is no private property  b) a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state. Virtually impossible to keep trying to make sure you keep the house you own right now, keep the banks from taking it away from you and be a socialist at the same time. That would be an oxymoron. Communism: 1) forced version of socialism OR as defined in Little Rock. Arkansas while Eisenhower was President and likely how the birthers and teabaggers define it today, which is their real issue.

These ongoing large temper tantrums and outrageous behaviors continue to be rewarded by media coverage because there are other agendas in play.  For all of the folks who emotionally continue to parrot the provided labels hoping they will stick: The President is not Hitler, he is not a communist, he is not a fascist, not a socialist and he is not an alien -- from another country or outer space. You are being manipulated and will find, just as with the marketing strategy of church and family values, that you have once again bought the scam from the snake oil salesmen. We, the people, need to stay focused on seeking the truth -- even if it doesn't look like what we want to believe, the actual issues facing this country, and becoming a part of the solution not the problem. It's not my America,or yours. It's our America that is at stake. And the world is watching.
